Silk & Shine: The Stars in Scarves
There’s no shortage of silk when the stars come out to shine. But these stylish celebrities prove that the right silk scarf is always in fashion. Here are some of our favourite silk scarf star sightings:
Style icon/Fashionista Extraordinaire, Olivia Palermo wearing a silk Dior square scarf in a fresh graphic print. Only a fashionista of Palermo’s calibre manages to match the pink carpet upon which she tread this day.
Model Kendall Kardashian sibling is seen in a rocker chic look out in NYC with a very on-trend silk Chanel neckerchief before heading to the airport to attend Paris SS17 Haute Couture Week.
Not far behind on the style front is sister Kylie Jenner, seen here wearing a Louis Vuitton silk scarf in her Kylie Cosmetics Promo Video. She looks trendy and chic in her snakeskin two-piece outfit, accessorized with a silk scarf tied around her head.
Now, here’s a lady that demonstrates how a silk scarf can also bring the heat. The infamous, age-defying and ever spicy Jennifer Lopez is seen here enjoying some down time in Miami Beach in May 2016. Tied bandana-style to her head, a tropical coral-print silk scarf, the perfect complement to her rose-gold sunglasses and white bikini.
Springing forward in soft layers in hues of blue and white, blonde beauty Blake Lively steps out and about for some flower shopping in New York last March. The airy quality of her wispy floral-print dress is anchored by a cozy navy cardigan. The cherry on top of this look: a striped blue and white large silk scarf for varied pattern interest.

Last but not least, in all the understated elegance that powerhouse brand Dior can dish out, is Jennifer Lawrence, styled with a structured navy blue handbag tied smartly with a matching silk scarf on the handle. The headliner for “The Hunger Games” series and the upcoming film “Passengers” was chosen as the face of the new Autumn/Winter 2016 Dior campaign.
As you can see, when it comes to elevating any look, it’s clear that incorporating a silk scarf remains a tried and true style staple in anyone’s closet. An A-list celebrity status helps too. 2016 has certainly shown that silk scarves are always in season.
